We encourage members to participate in the work for social change as part of larger groups or independently according to individual leadings
Through various efforts (individually and as a community) we continue to work on:
- repealing the death penalty
- children/family justice
- anti-war activities (vigils, yard signs, etc)
- interfaith issues
- eliminating torture by way of closing the SOA/WHISEC, and the Quaker Initiative to End Torture
- Friends of Sabeel, and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict
- Immigration issues
- Eliminating cluster bombs
- Christian Peace Teams
- Our major work this year is the Greening of the Meeting, not only the Meeting itself, but to make our Members and Attenders think about making this a better world to live in.
Respectfully submitted
Glen McGuire, Co-Clerk
